Introduction

Saab Range
9-5 Estate

The Saab 9-5 Estate offers the most versatile luggage handling in its class.

Load nets, a sliding load floor, CargoTracks™ and roof racks are just a few examples of available equipment that allow you to bring along almost anything conveniently. It is also one of the safest cars on the market, according to insurance company injury statistics.

It is especially built for those of you who need a car for an active leisure life or have long working hours. You can choose from our different Saab Forms and six powerful turbo engines, two of which are diesel.
Some of the Saab 9-5 Saloon's features include:

CargoTracks (TM) in luggage compartment floor
These unique load anchoring rails have adjustable securing loops to which load straps can be attached to secure objects of varying size and shape.

Sliding load floor
Makes loading and unloading easier. The extended floor can easily take the weight of two adults. Maximum load is 200 kg but for safety reasons, we recommend no more than 120 kg of secured load in the luggage compartment. When not in use, the sliding section slips into a recess in the flat floor, so it takes up no extra space.

Traction control system
TCS helps you when starting off on a slippery surface and makes it easier to climb icy slopes. And if the driven wheels have different levels of grip in a curve, the system balances grip between the left and right sides for more controlled progress.

Electronic Stability Program
ESP gives you the benefits of the TCS anti-spin system and helps to prevent any tendency to skid. ESP constantly compares the car's movements with your steering input. If the car shows any tendency to start a skid, the system brakes one or more wheels as necessary. The system may also reduce the throttle opening if this is necessary to help maintain controlled progress.
